Three new releases out today on Deathbomb Arc:

DBA063
Child Pornography
She's Got Legs cd
$10 US / $16 World
http://deathbombarc.com/releases/dba063.htm
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can one grow old gracefully with a name like Child Pornography? Apparently, yes. On this 3rd full length, She's Got Legs, the youthful perkiness that has always characterized this band is not lost. Left behind though is the lo-fi buzz and hum. With clarity as a weapon, Child Pornography drive decisive guitar slices through epileptic beats for the most memorable autism-pop you've yet to hear.
This evolution in sound is not a change to maturity, but just a refining of how much yappering, melo-drama, and exclamation a band can really stuff into the sound known as ROCK. Don't call them electroclash or nu-rave or whatever. These guys are the Rolling Stones of YOUR generation, so get struttin.
Mastered by Weasel Walter

DBA081
Robin Williams On Fire
Jungle Gym of Crucifixes 7"
$6 US / $11 World
http://deathbombarc.com/releases/dba081.htm
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Over the top rebel-mockers, crowd pleasing self-abusers, nudists, treble enthusiasts, and all around good ol' boys bring out the noise and the punk. Somewhere between XBXRX and Harry Pussy is the chaotic sound that has earned these fistory youth the title of "best band in LA" even though they are from San Francisco (or Santa Barbara or something). For anyone that wanted to know what happens when you play with fire, and the fire loses, then make sure to pick up a copy of this wax... if you think you can handle it. No refunds if the music bullies you around too much.
Mastered by Weasel Walter.

dba088
Beach Balls
noise.beats.noise c10 cassette
$6 US / $11 World
http://deathbombarc.com/releases/dba088.htm
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe the reason everyone says that the Hyphy movement failed is because Beach Balls broke up? In fact, we're sure this is the case. While many noise pranksters have used pop music samples to make bad jokes and empty socio-political statements, it was only Beach Balls that borrowed from noise to make their Hyphy jamz as maxed as possible. Respected modular synth ARTIST Bill Hutson aka Rale joined up w/ Kyle Mabson (aka the one-man Aqua of Los Angeles) to create what HEALTH calls the greatest live act in LA (yes, my sources are correct). So of course, when Beach Balls called it quits, the Hyphy movement failed in the eyes of many. But don't waste your time in despair. Pick up a copy of this c10 and party on forever.

Cobra Bubbles
cassette
$5.00 US / $10.00 World
-----------------------------------
Further evidence that Robin Williams on Fire is as much Harry Pussy as they are XBXRX comes from this RWOF-related project. Dylan plays two things at once, but it is hard to say exactly what either of those are in this signal-cancellation heaven. It is likely that Mikey, the other half of this duo, also plays two things at once. The dense interplay of punkussion, rocker blurps, and tweeker queefs is usually ecstatic, often monumental, but never forgets to breath... although it hardly ever has to. Both sides begin at full speed. This is the natural pace for Cobra Bubbles. When the duo decides to take a whole note simultaneously, the breakneck speed is instantly recharged. While being sincerely wigged-out requires some sort of ramping/earning phase for most, here is one of those beautiful and youthful rarities that is all explosion and no fuse.

Thrash Sabbatical, a 4-way split between Thurston Moore,
Barrabarracuda, Kevin Shields, and Men Who Can't Love is out now on
Deathbomb Arc. Please check info below!

DBA069
THRASH SABBATICAL
Thurston Moore / Men Who Can't Love / Kevin Shields / Barrabarracuda
4-way split
12" & 2x7" boxset
$25 US / $28 CAN / $36 WORLD
paypal: http://deathbombarc.com/releases/dba069.htm
==================================================================
An elaborate box-set of vinyl, pairing Thurston Moore 3 times with a
selection of amazing Los Angeles acts. Box set will include equaly
amazing art designed/curated by Britt & Amanda of Not Not Fun.
Thurston Moore (you know the dude, he is in Sonic Youth) contributes
music that ranges from beautiful acoustic guitar work to fierce noise
and charging thud rhythms.
Men Who Can't Love is the gang of young LA noise dudes that do the tag
team thing like it is the ultimate party. They share the 12" w/ Moore,
and hit you over and over with the tagteam efforts of Solitary Hunter,
Impregnable, Moth Drakula, Haircut Mountain Transit, Toxic Loincloth, &
Privy Seals.
Barrabarracuda are the much more friendly sort, but welcome at the same
party. Featuring Grace of Foot Village and Amanda of Pochahaunted on
fireworks... erm drums and vocals, plus Britt of Robedoor on guitar and
Nichole of Child Pornography on keyboard. Their split 7" w/ Moore is
definitly the most melodic of the bunch.
Kevin Shields (here as Eva Aguila of Gang Wizard & Amy V of Yuma Nora)
fuses searing walls of aluminum with angelic harmonies for a tension
that evokes pure joy. Their split 7" with Moore is matched with equal
amounts joy and angelicism, but in soothing rather than tense manner.

HEADS UP TO COLLECTORS: The art on this is totally DIY, rough and
tumble, no two look a like, got dirt on them, crunched up cardboard
style. While the vinyl itself is guaranteed to play without skips etc,
the art never has existed in a "cherry" form, so please don't order if
you only like polished stuff. Don't want to scare people off, but also would
be bummed if people were disappointed cuz they didn't know in advance.

For wholesale prices, any questions, how to arrange non-paypal orders,
etc; please email dbombarc@deathbombarc.com
