I don't get hating on the guy because he sets up stuff to skate. Its called innovation.
Waxing the ground is a highly suspect tactic popular among rollerbladers.
Fabricating skate spots is more an indication that someone's out of ideas. He had a good thing going at first, but now he's just kind of regurgitating the same ideas in all of his recent footage. It's getting to be like a band who writes an album full of songs that all sound the same, with maybe one or two keepers.
My perspective on this might be a little different, as I still skate every day, and keep up on this stuff obsessively.
