also drove 1 1/2 hours to see Black Flag at the Antenna Club in Memphis in '83 or '84 - turns out we had the wrong date - missed the show by 2 days - Scream was playing so it wasn't a total loss

Plenty of shows I missed but one that comes to mind was GG Allin/Dwarves/Screaming Bloody Marys in SF. This was '91 or '92 and we went to the show only to be told that GG was in the hospital for something that went down in San Diego the previous night.

i was just gong to post about missing this show - (at 6th Street Rendezvous) - i thought i showed up like a few minutes late and missed the whole thing - i guess maybe it didn't even happen?

they closed the NYC office and laid us all off --

the fun thing about it is we learned of our doom from Page 6

i'm sure it's a million times more intriguing if i don't say
but i was the Retention Marketing Manager
the only glamorous part of my job was i got to pick pictures for the free little gift mags we would send out when people renew their subscriptions
the first time i was like - 'this looks close but she has a huge scar and ugly tattoos' - this was Playboy - none of that mattered - it wouldnt show up in the final mix

but anyways - magazines are still here --- anyone who wants to come to my house and cart them away can have them for $20 (container included!)  - i ain't gonna ship these things
