Toronto is reportedly paying $5 million towards the remaining $86 million owed to Wells. So they're eating some of it, just not nearly as much as anyone would've figured they'd have to.

out of context, the reference to Terminal Boredom DOES seem weird. However, I would point out that an earlier question from Andy referenced older criticisms of Jay from what he called "The Goner/Termbo/HoZaC scene". The question I answered read like this, "I know that when Jay was on tour, it tended to create some stress for the label, or whether or not it was Jay?s fault or he was instigated by strangers, there seemed to be the need for some damage control, because I?ve always thought Jay was one of the exceptions to the 'any publicity is good publicity' rule?care to go into this?"
I thought if I was gonna allude to any sort of internet-baiting, I should stress it wasn't coming from the same corner Andy had brought up earlier. I've no gripe with Andy's piece --- it was far more thoughtful than the memorial item published by spinner, for instance --- but a seemingly gratuitous namedrop was anything but in this case.
