You should probably just change your name. Any opinion you express is instantly devalued because it's coming from guy who took his name from some tiresome emo band.

I don't get why everyone but Officer Officer Officer Brad is so convinced that the killing of OBL went down as we are told it did, or why they are arguing so passionately in defense of the official story.
For the record, I believe that OBL was killed in his so-called compound (it's a house, fer chrissakes, a house, and there's no way that piece of shit is worth a million dollars); it is, by my lights, perfectly plausible, and everything points to the general truth of the story (never mind the details). But why, knowing all we know about our government, would we not believe that there is more to the story?
Trolling or not, there is value in the skepticism Officer Officer Officer Brad puts forth here. Conspiracy theories needn't replace empirical evidence, but they often point up the absence of empirical evidence, the weaknesses, in the official story. It's called dialectic.
I'm surprised to see so many doubters and naysayers turn suddenly into believers. Why now? What is it about this story that you can't fathom it being a lie?
Earlier: Current 93, Baalstorm, Sing Omega! The first C93 full-length in recent memory to sound somehow rushed or unfinished, and this despite a typically dense 'n' rich production job and the usual extraordinary care in presentation. Is it too short? Too long? Can't tell. Indispensable, regardless; can't wait to hear what happens next (Honeysuckle Aeon -- any day now).
ya know, i think it's alright they killed dude's ass, but it kinda bugs me how big of deal they're making of it. like denkinger said, the defense budget will be cut, because osama was the "branding, unifying face of global terrorism." but like, what fucking difference does it make if bin laden is alive or dead? like he was the only one in charge, or something? i'd guess he's got 10 guys behind him, just waiting for the time he died. he knew he was THEE target. the fact he's dead means nothing, someone just replaced him. probably someone replaced him years ago! he did his thing, served his time, paid with his life. he was the face. big deal, nothing has changed. if the defense budget gets cut simply because osama's been killed, that will just prove what a farce the whole fuggin' thing is.
