Hey! Ho! Let's go to Mexico! Los Explosivos are belting out rip-roaring authentic garage, en Espa?ol! These four muchachos from Mexico City are sick with the rock'n'roll disease! They papa-oom-mau-mau like trashmen! They scream "Louie Louie" like swamp rats! This record will turn flavor-starved gringos into swamp rat burrito eating lunatics! I'll take two with a side of refried beans! These gatos have huevos grandes and are ready to raise a hell of a ruckus... indy CLOWNING ON BITCHES dorks beware! Viva la revolucion!!

KING KHAN & BBQ SHOW
Though King Khan?s dynamic Shrines have finally broken through in the US with their debut Vice Records release The Supreme Genius of King Khan and the Shrines, King Khan and Mark Sultan (AKA BBQ), formerly on In the Red and currently signed to Vice as well, are, frankly, the jam and their two full-lengths The King Khan & BBQ Show LP and What?s for Dinner are undisputed classics in the garage rock underground. Selling out their last few NYC shows way beyond capacity, appearing all over the press and MTV, this Montreal duo has spent the last four years knocking audiences dead around the world with their loose rockin? reverbed-out live sets, timeless songcraft, amazing Everly?s-ish harmonies, and top notch showmanship.

This will be their only NYC appearance this time around!!!

K-HOLES
Brooklyn?s latest band, led by none other than Black Lips? Jack Hines, features a cast of mostly Atlanta ex-pats including his wife Julie (of Bradford Cox?s Wet Dreams) and Cameron and Vashti of Golden Triangle, play fast, cheap, and out-of-control lo-fi rock?n?roll and come at the request of King Khan himself (who played percussion with them at their debut show at Don Pedro?s last month).

TIM WARREN / CRYPT RECORDS
Crypt Records is a New York City-based record label and record store founded by Tim Warren. They have spent 25 years prolifically releasing not only legendary bands like the Gories, Headcoats, Oblivians, Raunch Hands, Devil Dogs, and Jon Spencer Blues Explosion but also compilations like Back from the Grave. Many of the records you will hear at this wild soiree! Crypt Records also have stores in Hamburg and now in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Tim always really lays it down but this night will be kind of special!

MR JONATHAN TOUBIN
Soul proprietor of the recently revived New York Night Train record label and publisher of the former popular local underground music website by the same name, this veteran underground musician, writer, and academic quit all of that after rising, in a matter of months, to become the NYC underground?s only full-time professional rock and soul DJ with weekly gigs at Santos? Party House, Motor City, Beauty Bar, and Home Sweet Home (not to mention one or two parties a week in Brooklyn). Not only compelling kids dance to music they?ve never heard in the rotten apple but changing culture coast to coast with more than 150 gigs already this year, this in-demand floor destroyer can be found almost every night hard at work until the wee hours ? throwing down dynamic sets with an emphasis on soul, garage, freakbeat, New Orleans beat, early rock, boogaloo, psyche, French pop, British invasion, glam, punk, and the latest local and underground punk/rock 7-inches... Fast, raw, and sweaty!

ANNA COPACABANA
Her Anna Copacabana Show at Bowery Poetry Club has become a downtown tradition and she also performs regularly as a songwriting musician and dancer. Uniting the art, rock, and variety scenes with her work across the city, the lovely and talented Ms. Copacabana adds flair and kineticism to any party...

SPENCER BEWLEY
The projectionist whose visuals have wowed crowds worldwide with acts such as Warlocks, Death In Vegas, and, most recently, A Place to Bury Strangers, provides the visual intoxication. Spencer?s live dual 16 millimeter kung fu is performed by slowing and speeding the projectors to the tempo of the music and creating split screen and flashing effects with only two pieces of cardboard and an innate sense of rhythm. Funky, breathtaking, and curious to say the least...

MORT TODD
Cartoonist, video and music producer Mort Todd drew the cover for the first Crypt Records release, the legendary Back from the Grave Volume One and continued to do 8 more covers for the series. Mort was also Editor-in-Chief of Cracked magazine, launched the Marvel Music Comic series and has worked in film, animation and video. Currently Mort is publishing the Sadistik photo comic series, has produced a documentary on the character entitled The Diabolikal Super-Kriminal while recently did a record cover for the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion (based on the first Grave cover) and directing a music video for Heavy Trash.
