I enjoy listening to sound clash tapes from the 80s. this one is notorious, the famous Saxon sound system went to clash the lesser known Young Lion but it was on young lion's home turf and all their crowd turned up so the saxon MCs had to take on the whole venue, lyrics are pretty extreme it is awesome https://soundcloud.com/soundtapedotcom/saxon-v-young-lion84

BIG UP. Dude.

Will be listening to KPOO's Wake The Town later today.  http://wakethetownradio.blogspot.com/  Dude talks too much over shit, but probably my favorite radio show in recent years.

Nice! Interview with a Deadly Dragon dread will get I and I to check that last episode. Love that store.

Heard they closed last month.

Haven't heard that. I follow them on FB, and no announcements about that. Nothing to indicate that on their site either. Mitch is right about this dude talking over songs too much. Damn, he could at least put some echo on his voice and speak in patois if he's gonna do that.

SNOWSUIT 7" - no info on the "sleeve" (which is the bottom half of a manila envelope that fits perfectly), and solid black labels. Digital hardcore / gabber / trash. Good and fucked. Got it in the wild today for $8, but looks like you can have one for $3.

I zoned out to a couple Nina Kraviz "Live at the Boiler Room" mixes yesterday. What style is she playing that makes up of the majority of those sets? Straight techno?
reckon it would get called "minimal" generally. i wd just say "techno" though yeah. "boring techno" ha

it must be boring, i used it to go to sleep to!

Great stuff, On-U Sound is the shit. Have you heard the Missing Brazilians album? SO GOOD. Got reissued last year. Phenomenal noisy dub/post-punk that I can't believe I didn't know about til a few months ago. Don't sleep on early Dub Syndicate, esp. the stuff w/ minimal vocals. Half of it sounds like Aphex Twin.

Hell yeah! When is Creation Rebel's Starship Africa going to get a re-release? I've been looking for a copy of that for less than $60 for years now. I've almost pulled the trigger for it's going rate a few times too.

"Pounding System" is also pretty massive. I could use a copy myself.

Anywhere but York, PA would be fine by me.

My wife's parents like in York/mt Wolf....so I've had to go there a few times......man that whole area is pretty depressing.

There was a cool record store that was around there but that was back in like in 2006 so who knows if it's still there

Gimme a shout next time you're in the area. I could really use the company, plus I cook like the dickens.  There's a great record store down the street from me in Red Lion, mostly second hand stuff. And of course, there's a distro in my pad with over 1,000 titles, so...
