cover charges have remained the same since the late 80's. they should go up fo sure but i think less people are interested in live music so clubs dont wanna raise it. i think bands should start sellin their 7"s for 6$ at shows. gas is 4$ for christ's sake.

ive had 4 records cut at AV and always paid for a reference lacquer. never once did i have them remaster it. ive also had about 8 records done at PC and have no complaints, although for some reason my wife likes AV over PC.

i know some stuff ive had mastered at united was done at PC as it says PC on the record. aardvark to united is the cheapest way to make a 7" (have united make the plates) these days. i know SS dont like AV, but they will cut you a ref lacquer for only 30$. very reasonable.

i don't think united masters. they farm it out so its the luck of the draw.
ive had nothin but good experiences with em. reasonable turn around, best price. they once fucked up (off center) a batch of 300 records and they sent me a new batch no questions.

hey mr bubbledumb,
you can use paypal to keep yourself organized. when you receive a payment there is a button that says print shippin label. if you have a scale you can pack it and print out postage with your computer. when you do that it removes that button which indicates that you have shipped it and it also sends an email to the buyer with a delivery confirmation number. if you are taking your stuff to the PO you can still remove that button, see the bottom of the page when you click on the details of the transaction. remove the shipping link button. this is way you can keep track of what you have shipped and what you have not shipped. just tryin to help!

totally depends on the situation. if you want some background music while you are packing records, 7"s dont really work. but if your in party mode 7" are the best.
