I'm a big fan of De Palma's early stuff. Great flick. Paul Schrader co-wrote the screenplay with De Palma. Obvious Hitchcock influence but duh, it's De Palma. John Lithgow straight chewin' scenery as a southern gentleman.
Basically the hammer scene from Oldboy stretched out to a feature length film. Super violent and entertaining.

One of the best splatter films I've seen in terms of delivering the goods. The "hell" scene is mind-blowing.
Can I get more info on this....looks good.
German flick, shot on video. Came out in '97 but looks and feels more '87. Here's a good review of the DVD:

I honestly think Santorum said "government-nik." But I also think he immediately realized that "nik" sounds like "nig" and that's why he stumbled and there's that awkward transition in his speech.
Doesn't matter either way. Santorum is a piece of shit. It will be more appalling to me if this "nig" thing sinks his campaign rather than his stance on homosexuality and the fact that he's a backwards fucking idiot.
