So glad user:Beef mentioned The Resonars. It stayed in my sell pile for nearly ten years after I brought it at PDQ in 2003.

can someone fill me in on popol vuh?  i have skirted around these guys for a while, but never jumped in.
Vuh didn`t release that many records. First three records are essential late night listening mood music, aside from having some of the most mind blowing jackets ever designed:
Affenstunde
In den Gaerten Pharaos
Hosianna Mantra

Great appearance on german tv from 1971:

Later records are strictly for the folks over at waxidermy who think new age is an underappreciated genre.

Creeping Candies song on that comp is really good.  I still want to hear that LP they did.
Flesh lp sounds very different to their demos taken in early 86. The only good song is Nikkis In your life which he rereleased on his Creation comp Back to the coast (without giving the Candies any credit).

8 inch flexis

We're there ever any large flexis? 10-12"?
BOB Magazine No. 34 included a 10" flexi, incl. unreleased Hellman, King Snake Roost, feedtime and Slub tracks.

Down in Phoenix at a Super 8 right now. Counting my "collection" has never been this easy: 53 albums and 5 7"s.

The Museum of Outside Art is the best art museum in the city, IMO.
Thanks for the recommendation. They opened a new exibition (Eddie Harris) in their front room a few days ago which is just amazing.

I'd love a good best-of of the Jacobites stuff
Robespierres Velvet Basement is their best-of record. Nikki told me back then the songs were originally recorded for a double album but Glass records refused to put it out. Alfred Hilsberg from Whats So Funny About released the remaining tracks from the sessions as Lost In A Sea Of Scarves in 86 and not one track comes close to the brilliance of Robespierre. The sound of Epics drums still blows my mind, especially on the acoustic tracks. And Kusworth never wrote better songs.

This one took a few years to sink in. Anybody holding a spare of an OG? Frankie Teardrop?
