Not exactly grindcore (more like TURBO SPEED VIOLENCE) but after 15 years I'm still in awe of Einstweilige Vernichtung by Yacøpsæ. Still not sure how they did it, and still glad I could witness that miracle in person when they toured on that album.
This is amazing, cheers. Sounds like a more accomplished Charles Bronson. More TSV!

Cool. A few bands I hadn't checked out before, cheers. Cloud Rat was a surprise, I hadn't heard them for years, the fast stuff is great, the slower a bit too emo. I've always liked Insect Warfare, Iron Lung and later Assuck. Wormrot I guess could be called 'next level' in terms of the genre and have a lot more metal than I can usually handle but some truly great moments have kept me coming back to them. Palm - My Darkest Friends is also noteworthy.

Wormrot's Dirge and Voices lps are really doing it for me at the moment. Are there any other comparable bands out there?

Anyone happen to know if there's a chance that KREMLIN will be active again, or if there are any post-KREMLIN projects in the works? I feel like they're too good to just go away.

From what I've understood second hand the Kremlin guys just decided there wasn't much further they could go after an LP - even though I think that might be wrong, as they were going into some really cool place on the last tape - and decided to move on. Ivan played drums in Farang after, although I'm not sure they're still active. Not sure about the other guys. I still listen to Kremlin constantly, which says a lot about how great their output was I suppose.

For the last couple of months they've been my go-to, like, when all else fails- KREMLIN. Still enjoying all their stuff, but jonesing for more now. Great band, a bit underrated, I think.
Agreed. I play Kremlin a lot as well as Ecoli, Green Beret and Blank Stare all modern classics.

The whole 90s pop punk fan base are middle aged dudes

Kids listen to screamo type bands if they still listen to RnR at all.....pierce the veil and avenged sevenfold....shir of that ilk

I'm out West right now and stuff like SW/Dickies/Queers/NOFX are still a main event.  It really boggles my mind that grown ass men still listen that pablum

You can't lump The Dickies in with that lot.

I sure can.  They are on the same circut as SW and Queers.  They do shows with Queers a lot
Yep, I saw Fugazi play with Jesus Lizard. To me they're one and the same.

I've skimmed this thread and no mention of Vanilla Blue? Their best song, I recently put it on a playlist along with the first track on 3 chord monte

Failures Union - Comb. This has been a regular play since it came out, should have been a 7". The lyrics are weird/creepy amd clever a really catchy song. Reminds me of Sunflower Suit, In A Jar.

thatcher on acid - curdled.
a gem of  a record that had it come out 2 years earlier would have been an anarcho heavyweight. It was a breath of fresh air in '87and still sounds great now. A souped up Mob with a proper singer.

I must admit I'm looking forward to reading reviews of the stuff I was involved in that I haven't seen in more years than I care to remember. Also seeing stuff like Tim's review of the Die Kreuzen lp where he just wrote 'this is fucking great' like 15 times or so will be cool too.
What bands were you in, mate?

The Ne're Do Wells, Heard It Before, Of No Consequence, The Also Rans and The Mediocres. I suspect if I googled those names they probably exist but I don't think termbos ever name the bands they're in on here. Some things are best left well alone.

I thought you were great in The Also Rans. Top band.
Thanks man. It's good to know that some one remembers the Also Rans, though I think I'll be best remembered for the Forgetables who I forgot about.
