Huge fan.

Actually bought Venom's "Welcome to Hell" and "Black Metal" when they were released. We didn't call it black metal back then but 'satan punk'.

Darkthrone are by far the BM band who released the best albums. VON's "Satanic Blood" is awesome.
I got mine when released as well as At War With Satan, and Possessed. Also bought Apocalyptic Raids and Morbid Tales when released. Any bands that sound like that these days? Or Power From Hell era Onslaught?

I just had to replace Cheater Slicks - On Your Knees as it grew legs and walked away. I was happy to find one for $25, but still.

Music Shit / Re: Better than the released version

I like the Exodus Bonded By Blood demo (the song BBB in particular) better than the album. Actually, I think the demo was called "A Lesson In Violence," can't remember..

The Ponys demo of Get Black was better than the album version. Kinda wish I still had those demos.

Often (but not always) demos have a more raw toughness to them. Probably why every band these days releases a demo and then it gets pressed on vinyl some months later.
I'll have to check but I do believe it is called a lesson in violence. The 1st band i was in covered the demo version as the lp was not out yet.

I'm considering getting a Pro-Ject debut III. Anyone want to come here to testify to it's greatness or crappiness?

ANyone recommend anything better in the 350 range?
I picked up a debut carbon back in january and am very pleased with it.

If the people flake on the Devil Dogs and Outsiders flake, I'll take the both.

It isn't a bad price. However, for $400 you can grab a Project Debut Carbon which I can't recommend highly enough.
