Fun music + fun on-air personality = great show. This show has it moments but it's far from great.

I haven't heard this show but Music to Spazz by is "fun" rather than actually fun. Horrible kitsch atmosphere on that show. Too bad, because a lot of those tracks would be awesome on there own. But all together in the Spazz format...ugh.

Bet he's a nice guy though!

why is it that certain new records I buy are so much quieter than older records or some new records. for exmple with In the Red consitantly I need to turn it up wayyyy up to even hear it right.

Aye. The rule must be, only buy ebays when you find something listed wrong and cheap. Like that one copy of "Royol Trilx" I got for 99 cent. (Turned out to be Twin Infinitives)

It doesn't take a 90s indie rock listener to know that pavement and slint are pretty much opposite rock tendencies.  Warm/sloppy/conventionally melodic v. cold/deliberate/difficult-ly melodic.

If you think TNV sounds like Slint, I would like to sell you my ultra-rare Brainbombs releases done for the Saddle Creek label under the name Bright Eyes. NM (played once) starting bid $29, buy it now $99.

Electronic composer Raymond Scott did several volumes (newborn-6 months; 6 months - 1yr, etc) called "Soothing Sounds for Baby". Really great stuff . Easy to find on cd.
