apparently EVERYONE stills has a soft-side for their favorite pop punk band. it is unfortunate that there are soooo many bad ones that got sooooooo super popular. but, if it wasn't for green day, the weasel, the queers,... many of us would be late-blooming punkers... or not punkers at all!!!

true, but i came from a town where everyone listened to dave matthews, counting crows.... YUCK!  finding green day when i was 12 was a god-send!!  i wouldn't change that for the world!!  it was going backwards from there that really help,... discovering lookout records, op ivy, and then because of SW, i found teenage head, and went on from there....  if it wasn't for the 93-94 punk surge, i'm sure my enviroment would have made me a wigger listening to the world's worst rap music.....  gawd forbid i would have ended up like the people i went to school with.....  tooootally gross....

and kevin, i don't like pink reason,... true.  but that fact isn't because i don't like you.

Did ya know that the Bananas toured Japan a couple of months ago?

yeah they toured japan.  and they won't make it to the east coast?!?!  someone get them to gonerfest!!!  thats a great idea!!!  there are so many people out here (east of the Miss) that need to see them...  they're playing a pop-punk fest in chicago this summer........

screeching weasel is the BEST pop punk band ever... hands down!  no contest, no one else has ever come close.

vindictives are amazing, if you haven't heard hypno-punko, you haven't heard shit!!!  stop what you're doing and check it out.  and this means everyone!!  

I've always thought that Huntingtons, digger and all christian pop punk bands were just as horrilbe as mxpx.   it makes me sad that the wednesday's first 7" is on tooth and nail records.  but they're still nice guys.  

why doesn't anyone gives the Hard-Ons the respect they desevre...  

parasites are also overlooked.  but you can't forget the Groovie Ghoulies, CRIMPSHRINE, early Green Day!!  wow,... i like alot of old(er) pop punk......

I've heard the newest Queers album is to be really good.  people say its like "don't back down"....  but i've really given up on them... anyone else know about that album???

and I'm not sure if the Bananas are "pop punk"  but they're FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!!

Too Many records a couple of years ago released a comp called Wood Panel Pacer With Mags.......  it was a 100 band comp LP and 7".  i bought the Lp for $1.00 and it didn't come with the 7".  anyone have the just the 7" that they are willing to trade for, that'd be great.  It has Kill the Hippies on it so thats why i'm looking for it....   anyone??

while I'm at it, I'm also looking for KTH first two 7"s

doods, anyone who have any doubts about this Jail band should check them out... they played an awesome set last night...  Andy and Austin as the rhythm section has really polished them up...  still "indy pop" but really good...

uh, i called the record a bitch,.... as in "this is a bitch of record to get ahold of,..."  not calling anyone i've never meet a bitch....  just excited to get the damn thing.  i'm in the club thinking it sucks when i have to charge someone $8.00 to ship a record to new zealand (or where ever),... i don't think anyone should have to pay that much for one 7",... but no one complains as long as its a good record....  so i guess i should shut my mouth when i hear it,... yeah,... go me,... no validation here.
