A comic was published in MRR dealing with various Tenderloin denizens. It had one panel that depicted Asians using classic visual motifs that have been PC-banned for about 30+ years. Ask anyone who is Asian what they think of the 'ol buck-tooth/rice-picker cone hat deal. Fine. The part that puzzles me is that MRR ran the comic, right, then doubled back and started heaping criticism on the authors. Uh, WTF? Fire yourselves already!

this bothers me. I'm thinking "why wouldn't somebody just release their own tape (lp, cd, etc.)?" bands who would want to be on this "label" seem like they would just want to be associated with the already established hype that is burger records. its like pay to play or something. this could be a good thing because i now know to try to avoid whichever bands that would want to pay to be on a "label". i'll hand it to ya, you burger dudes are some top class entrepreneurs. entre-manure?
