Jocko Homo sounds more "devolved" to me.  Maybe 'cos it's in a weird meter (7/4) that sounds somehow more retarded than the 4/4 of Mongoloid.

My favorite tune on the first record is still their cover of Satisfaction.

Doesn't everyone agree that the four-track (Hardcore) demos are superior to the first LP?

i wouldn't say superior the albums are more cohesive. the demos are fucking awesome though. Ono is probably my favorite devo track ever.

I have this 7" by Conquest for Death, which is everybody from WHN? besides Max.  Pretty ripping crossover shit.  There is a band here in Denton called Power Trip who are doing the crossover/Cro Mags thing pretty well.

conquest for death are fucking awesome live

pretty sure that production values and septic death don't really go hand in hand.

P J Harvey   -       White Chalk
my co-worker just  borrowed this to me the other day. he always says i sound like her. this record though is pretty different. her voice gets very light and airy. really hard to get used to.
anyway,

chris & cosey -- heartbeat
philip glass -- koyanniqatsi
arthur russell -- world of echo

i have heardthe film koyannisqatsi being highly recommended

And I know they're not around anymore, but the split 7" and second LP the Repos did are some of my favorite records.

ALL the repos stuff is good. but yeah, hearts and heads explode is fucking fantastic.

The Youth Of Today covers record is superb.  Love that shit.

stoked i didn't have to fight to get that record or pay ebay prices for it.

cos before that they did have a new zealander fill in.
That show must have been a high point in your life.
