most of what you guys are talking about falls more into the realm of Clitboys hardcore than Black Flag/Negative Approach hardcore

Because Black Flag and Negative Approach were real similar, and Clitboys were something else entirely, right? Duh.

negative approach and black flag are pretty much the same band.

They're really not.  Negative Approach were a great archetypal hardcore band, basic three chord American punk with a hefty UK thug influence, no more and no less, with any later progressions unrealized and unrecorded.  Black Flag inhabited a similar space for a fraction of their career, almost entirely minus any UK influence, after starting off much snottier and pre-hardcore, and almost immediately got weirder, more atonal, slower, more metal and more off-kilter.  Clitboys were much closer to NA than Flag, if only due to the purity of their hardcore. Anyways, I guess you're probably being facetious, so apologies for taking the bait.

no. they sound EXACTLY THE SAME.

OK, you're right.

and black flag never changed their sound, style or vocallist

HORROR.

As for the rest of the world I'd say check out STRAIGHT JACKET NATION, EXTORTION, PISSCHRIST (australia),  LEBENDEN TOTEN

a guy from Hamburg played me horror. they were awesome.
straight jacket nation are boring check out The Insurgents, Cut Sick, Tear Gas, Extortion or Useless Children before them for australian fast hardcore stuff.
Pisschrist are awesome live.
Lebenden toten were awesome when i saw them. super loud and trebly. my band played with tem when they were down here for some unknown reason.

heard some new cult ritual live shit.....jesus liz cover "seasick" - pretty killer.  band (and other bands) are on the edge of sounding like shit i hated on in the 90s...but they're keepin it good soundin so far.  really stoked to hear their lp.

i love it when Hardcore bands do out of genre covers. keeps shit interesting.

unfortunately i love the sex/vid 7"s but just haven't really thrashed the 12" as much.  and its good. wierd i know but i just haven't.

of bands mentioned so far that i like
the latest regulation 7" i got sucks
ANS rule. the heinous 1 sided 7" is fucking amazing.
Iron lungs newest LP is amazing
walls rule
If you want to listen to failures you have to read the lyrics.

Useless Children from Melbourne are AWESOME. i was organising a tour for them but due to personal bullshit between them and the bassist from my band that fell through.

Aerosols are awesome. can't wait for the LP. most played band on my ipod
