great band. been listening to the LP a lot and its one of my current faves. have liked their singles too. i like them more than most Columbus bands blabbed about and think they're on par with tyvek, oh sees, tv ghost etc as one of the current best bands in the country right now. doesn't seem to be a lot of talk about them but think they do the psych punk thing better than most.

Cities / NYC Movie stuff (Dreyer at BAM)

A bunch of great movies by Carl Th. Dreyer are playing at BAM. Planning on seeing as many as possible. Some I haven't seen, but the ones I have rank among some of my favorite and greatest films ever seen (Ordet is my #1 of all time) and would love to see again on a big screen. Highly recommended for those in the area.

owner of Academy Records (also responsible for the great Obsession comp) just put out the first release on his new reissue label Academy LPs by Nigerian rock psych band Ofege originally released in 1973.
while I know diddly squat about stuff like this, i gotta say it sounds great to this ears and the packageing looks great as well. and unlike most of these types of reissues the price is decent ($14)
