- The BALLOONS "(Love Runs) Through Your Elbow " (LP. 1981) [UK]
Love that band. Not punk... Part of the Manchester Musicians Collective. Songs with original structures played by very competent musicians
- The ONLY ONES "Special View " (LP. 1979 / rec. 1977-79) [US]
Always a pleasure to listen to some Perrett from time to time
- O.R.D.U.C. "Pink & Purple " (LP. 1981) [NED]
Could have been interesting.
- BUZZCOCKS "Orgasm Addict / What Ever Happened To?" (7". 1977) [UK]
The girls' request
- George HARRASMENT "Masai Sleep Walking" (LP. 1983) [UK]
The best Homosexuals side project with L. Voag
- PAGANS "Shit Street" (LP. 2001 / rec. 1977-79) [US]
I'm fed up with this shit... I guess I'm gonna sell it and keep my Electric Eels
- The VACANTS "Punk-Rock" (LP. 1977) [UK]
Entertaining
- V/A "125 Grammes De 33 1/3 Tours" (LP. 1979) [FR]
Very odd french compilation... some very good things in it
- Daniel JOHNSTON "Yip / Jump Music" (2xLP. 2007 / rec. 1983) [US]
Not my favourite
- The JAM "Setting Sons " (LP. 1979) [UK]
Sometimes, a man needs to listen to a mild Jam's album that brings memories up
- The RAINCOATS "The Raincoats" (LP. 2009 / rec. 1979) [UK]
Frankly? I love that!
- The DOOR & The WINDOW "Production Line EP" (7"EP. 1979) [UK]
Entertaining too
- GROW-UP "The Best Thing " (LP. 1979) [UK]
Like the Balloons, but more on the jazz side of things
- THIS HEAT "Deceit" (LP. 1981) [UK]
A great album by a great band

Elton Motello-Pop Art...not so hot..."Pocket Calculator" is the hit and there's a couple other good ones...mainly just uninspired attempt at wave.

Nick Gilder-You Know Who You Are....again not all hits but "Backstreet Noise" is a killer.

Non-Music Shit / Re: Reasonable van rental in the US

Rich is right.  I don't see how ppl tour in huge gas guzzling vans....$80-100 every time you fill up.  Even a small SUV like a Durango can fit two amps and the majority of a drum kit...renting one is probably the way to go.

Big L

I've never listened to him but apparently he lived right by me.  There's a mural in his honor:

Yeh he was from Harlem, 139th I think...nice mural.

Also American Music Club,  don't know why people like that....
