Not sure if I hear the Drake in there

Wouldnt a less corny Drake just be Tory Lanez(who is still kinda corny)

Speaking of singing rappers, been fucking with Malibu and Venice by Anderson Paak.....not really hiphop but hiphop influenced rnb

Goldlink has some decent stuff

I like the wave that rnb is on, not that halfass "trapsoul" movement

Checked out Triflin by Nickelus F.

Not bad....closest comparison. I have is Kevin Gates maybe who I'm not a big fan of.  This is an alright album though....not sure if there's much replay factor but honestly that's kinda the case for a lot of newer stuff

Had never really checked for Currensy outside of Jet Life getting a lil radio play.  Listened to the two most recent EPs Stoned On Ocean and Legend of Harvard Blue.  They were both ok but kinda unmemorable.  His super laid back style doesn't really help matters.  Kinda comes of like a lesser Devin the Dude

Music Shit / Re: All of GG's Backing Bands

Criminal Quartet is great. It's him with a country session band or something. Good stuff. Country GG is one of my favorite GG's.

If he was still alive GG would have certainly cut a rap album by now. Maybe a collab with Chief Keef.

Hope so....i just hope he steps away from all the repetive brostep EDM beats that clogged up the B side of Old.

Supposedly new one is influenced by Joy Division and old Detroit dance.....which sounds cool but i also heard him mention system of a down which scared the fuck out of me......we'll see

Sell all the non-essential stuff and pare it down to two boxes.

Even the early Bad Religion stuff sounded mediocre to me...obviously better than what they became.  Into the Unknown is mostly crummy but there are a couple good songs on there.

True menace & subterranea. When the voice comes on, you feel it in the pit of your stomach & it shakes you from the core. I could listen to an hour of this. Maybe two hours. Incredible fucking record.

Surprised both songs are so short, seems like these could easily go on for 10+ minutes

if you just stopped em from recording the b-side of milo goes to college, you would stave off like three of the most popular genres of horrendous eternal teenager warped tour music from happening.

Insanity.  Please go back and murder Bad Religion instead.  And take me with you.  We can argue about this on the ride.

I can't argue too hard with that, Brett G. certainly deserves to die at the hand of a surprising and unknown technology of the future for his sins at Epitaph. It is notable, though, that BR didn't commit any offense on the level of "Hope" or "Bikeage" until the 90s. At least their best and most highly regarded songs aren't trendsetting odes to being a pussy.

"Catalina" is both one of the sickest and most wasted riffs of our time.

Are the Descendents the pioneers of Capt Save-a-hoe punk?
