Most sound guys have no clue how to mix drums. Almost everywhere you get the crazy loud kick drum that completely blows out everything else. It's worse when you hear your drums in the monitor and they sound fine, but everyone tells you after the show how fucking loud your kick was.

My ears are fucked from seeing Rainbow Blanket(probably my favorite of the LA scene from a few years back) and Moth Drakula in a TINY back room of a record store years ago. The room was insanely small, yet those dudes never went anywhere with that 2500w power amp and speakers. It was fucking LOUD.

The robot girl from the sitcom Small Wonder used to come over to my house in the early late 80's/90's. She was friends with my sister.
