Nihilist Gallery is Andy from Plastic Crimewave Sound's loft/space and it's BYOB for sure but there's really no liquor stores close, so get it on the way. They might have a cover, as it was $5 last time.

Holy shit Troy, you've been to Off-The Alley in Homewood?!?!?  Goth chick makeout sessions, too?  I probably went there for the last time in 1989 or 90.  Record Swap around the corner was my salvation in high school (fiction house, too). Hilarious that you mentioned Off The Alley though..... I'm sure mesh-age-board bandit has some great stories from that place, too.

The Brett Smiley album "Breathlessly Brett" is really good too and just got reissued by RPM as well. The glam-era Cocksparrer is great (1975/76 Decca Demos) as well. Anyone seen the Cocksparrer doube DVD with the band all glamaged? here's the trailer but the mid 70s clip is about 1 minute into it:

Trevor White's "Crazy Kids" is one of the best, too. I took a gamble on the first Be Bop Deluxe album and it's surprisingly good. From '74 on Harvest, with one of the worst album covers, the band name sucks, but the back looked really trashy and there were numerous songs about 'jets' - that's really all I've heard, but well worth it for the $4 I found it for (don't forget about Crazyman records...).  Bowie/Dolls worship.

And Rich Dropkick's link to all that Australian Youtube archive footage had some cool Australian glam stuff too, namely

Skyhooks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvXOcACfSWg (check out the drummer's shirt!)

Supernaut ('76): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UINOgsVRCig

and Ted Mulry Gang: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCEnWGpbEgQ

but I still love Mud's "Tiger Feet" on TOTP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbxjCPl9aXk

that Six Foot Two song is sung (and written) by the bass player, not Ian. The guy's name is Steve and he's 1/2 of the band 'the Countdown,' who are playing tomorrow with Cheveu in Chicago. Live, Steve sings about half of the set sometimes and it's really a lot harder than the rest of the stuff.
