Been playing various GUITAR ROCK monster records after spending the last few years being completely bored with the idea or concept of the guitar in a musical setting. Sitting around with those various Les Rallies Denudes boots for days - ya know! Just opening up the third eye right from the split in my forehead. Borrowed this 5LP Great White Wonder box and the insert basically name dropped nine or ten bands that exploded out of the late 80's/early 90's Japanese psych scene. The sons and daughters of Les Rallies Denudes?! Really didn't know a thing besides owning some early Acid Mothers Temple CD's. Basically been tripping out since late last week trying to track these things down or finding out what the fuck was going on across the pond in '91. The rabbit hole of 200 dollar LP's. SHEEEIIITTTT.

First thing that bulldozed a brother -
High Rise - Induced Depression (1st track from their 1st LP - Psychedelic Speed Freaks)

Eye open and about two gulps of coffee in. Youtube-in Jim Shepard's Picking Through The Wreckage With A Stick. Plaster and drywall still clinging to the skin and knowing as soon as this cup is down I gotta load it all into a dumpster. All walls down and the sounds seem appropriate this morning. 5:43 a.m.

Starting the eye opening ritual at work with that new Necromancy 12 inch that NWN Prod tossed out to the world. Early 90's. Three track deal. Last stone unturned for Greece? Drum machine, simplistic ever pounding riffs, keyboard, one string solos. Monotonous but only in the most true psychedelic sense. I'm really feeling this thing. Scooped last week or so and I've found it on the table at home daily.

DROPPED TO THE PUBLIC YESTERDAY. The Numero Group jumping in bed with pre-major label White Zombie. Shit is going to be unreal.

Years before Beavis and Butt-head headbanged Thunder Kiss 65 and More Human than Human into the eternal rock video canon, there was primordial White Zombie a quintessential, diabolically loud byproduct of Manhattan's underground rock scene, born of art-school rendezvous and squalid apartment circumstance. It Came From N.Y.C. is the most exhaustive attempt so far to document the band's wondrously ugly birth. Get reintroduced to White Zombie as New York noise-rock, a grotesque creation that clawed and threatened its way to crossover metal glory.

On June 3rd 2016, Numero resurrects White Zombie's eternally out-of-print early EPs and LPs as It Came From N.Y.C. Spread across five LPs or three compact discs, all 39 tracks have been remastered by guitarist J. Yuenger and packaged alongside the original lurid artwork. The accompanying 108-page book painstakingly documents White Zombie's punishing progression through scores of unpublished photos, period discography, a T-shirtography, and tales from the terrifying early years that stitch together the sordid story of a band whose true power eclipsed its mainstream heyday. White Zombie lives. Don't be afraid.

Add up that one sided Kajun SS deal and you have the total KILL-SOUND of the earlyish 2000's hate.

Re-listening to various BAD TIMES tracks on the tube. Had the CD of this thang early on. Haven't jammed in years. HEADS ARE GOING OFF ON THIS. How I want my PUNK ROCK to sound.

Can you get this for a reasonable price anymore?! Would pay fifty. Not eighty. REPRESS NEEDED GONER.
