Holding my breath for this thing - - -

...and it sounds like all of the Bone Awl material is going to see re-issue next year along with a new album through NWN Productions.

RIGHTER DEATH NOW+DEUTSCH NEPAL+RAISON D??TRE US TOUR AUTUMN 2014

It is with supreme pleasure that ANNIHILVS POWER ELECTRONIX presents the US tour of BRIGHTER DEATH NOW, DEUTSCH NEPAL, and RAISON D??TRE, who return to the States together for the first time since 2004.

? BRIGHTER DEATH NOW (Sweden)
Taking a shameless, cynical, and comical look into the basest and worst aspects of the human condition, BDN is one of the single most influential industrial acts of the past two decades. Responsible for the coinage of the genre that is known as ?deathindustrial?, Roger Karmanik ? founder of the seminal record label COLD MEAT INDUSTRY ? has provided the world of dark, harsh music with some of its finest exemplars.

? DEUTSCH NEPAL (Sweden)
Herr Generalstaab Lina Baby Doll has been active as DEUTSCH NEPAL for more than two decades, having evolved over time into a sort of ?industrial crooner?, standing at the front and belting out tribal anthems over martial rhythms; dystopian drinking songs for the party at the end of the world.

? RAISON D??TRE (Sweden)
Peter Andersson stands as one of the most important artists working under the ?darkambient? monicker, crafting some of the genre?s most incredibly somber and emotionally impactful work.

The sound of RAISON D??TRE is immediately recognisable and punctuated by utterly, overpoweringly beautiful, bleakness.

Cities / Re: Chicago

Finally moved to Chicago in late May and rounded up a place by the end of July. Finally getting the swing of work/new city/directions and now I'm sitting a bit more financially secure then when I plunked down the dollars for this move. I live off Ashland between Milwaukee and North basically. Looking for drinking holes in walking distance. Dives and such. Also looking for venues/houses/spaces that are catering to more outsider music...noise/metal/hc/avantgarde. Any heads up on anything would be appreciated. Basically lone wolfing this city outside of my work-day.

I've been trying to look further into this scene...basically flipping through YouTube videos and getting a taste before trying the old buy up on these records. Came across this track that's been flooring me. Not Letov but his other half for a moment in time...Yanka Dyagileva. This thing really needs to be listened to in it's entirety - it truly takes a turn towards the end (5:13) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZxwchpW9DQ

Good read. Just read that '80s SIBERIAN PUNK article in the September issue of MRR a few days back. This was a nice addition.

I was trying to find that interview online and pull the old cut and paste. Did a short type up - but I'll type up some more Boyd on Jhonn when I get my second wind. Just home from work.

The room I slept in, they had so much unbelievable art. I slept in this room where there was just stacks of Aleister Crowley, and Austin Osman Spare, there were paintings and drawings and pen and ink things from every conceivable period in his life. Stuff that should go in the British Museum. And it was just like stacked against the wall in their spare bedroom, I mean they didn't even hang the stuff up.

Jumped into the record store to snatch up what I thought was the Grave Upheaval demo 12" that I had passed over a day or two back - turns out it was the later LP but I didn't own either...so I snatched. Grabbed the last two months of MRR while I was pulling out the dollars. Got home and flipped the pages cracking smiles. It's been a minute since I dabbled the punk waters. Anyway - thought I would give a glance at Dripper World. Maybe order up some hc rippers to tide the waters. Anyway came across this Qloaqa Letal boot and was gonna YouTube the next hours away - then I got wind of this...

I'm tripping out on this shit. Can anybody fill me in on what I've been missing since my birth year of '83. I mean is this a well known Spanish ripper and I'm just out of the fucking loop...? Somebody fill me on the back story here.

Here is that documentary man. Anybody wanna give me an overview of what is being chatted up?

Dr. Humpp - was just jamming that first Nifelheim demo - Unholy Grave this morning! Bleary eyed - pouring coffee down the throat and answering emails. Have you seen that Hard Rock Brothers (Title?) documentary deal on them on Youtube? No subtitles for this guy but the footage of their house if fucking amazing. HEAVY IRON MAIDEN WORSHIP GOING ON. And also them just ripping down roads in that car of theirs. Fuck.
