This is bullshit. This store skipped selling their copies and just put them on ebay:

I just want to point out that I occasionally frequent this store in Lawrence and they ALWAYS have the latest eBay craze for cover price, months later: 

Purchases in April of THIS year:

Eat Skull's 1st 7" $5
Wooden Shjips red 45 with the long boring songs: $6
All jim retardo's Goner stuff: $4 + something.

Not only do I buy doubles for people on this very board when there, but I have been LECTURED for it as they anti-eBay, in general.  Just sayin'.  And they probably will use the money to buy more jim retardo records.  But yeah, it sucks the employees got the other two.

Love Garden are straight up folks and I believe their spiel about buying copies of the comp for folks w/the proceeds.  As far as employees getting the records goes... Why else would you work in a record store if not to get a better line on the records you want?

If anyone from Matador is still reading this please take note (or explain to me).  Why do more copies go to distros than to those who fairly order from website?  It is ridiculous as more and more of these distros sell their copies on ebay (or their actual distro) for more than actual price.
