I would think 3 weeks or so.

You got screwed?

Not so long time ago Pay Pal was unable to get a refund.

I still have nightmares.

Thoughts?

depends if there's been any communication, etc.  i got ripped off once and filed a claim after about two months.  i only ended up getting about $2.50 back out of about $50 though.  it just depends on how much paypal can recover from the person who ripped you off and what that person has to say about it.  if they claim they sent it and the person has no other complaints against them, you're probably screwed.

45 days is the limit for opening a PayPal dispute, just so ya know.  If 44 days pass, I'd recommend opening a dispute in the friendliest possible manner--I got burned once for not doing so....

If the sender can not supply any tracking info you will get a full refund, Paypal  just doesn?t take the sellers word that they sent it, if they did no one would use paypal ever, Even if the buyer had the chance to buy insurance but did not paypal will always come down on the side of the buyer if tracking info is not provide, this has happened to me about 3 or 4 times and I have always gotten my money back, Getting a refund usually takes a few weeks, as a seller when you get paid through paypal always use some kind of delivery confirmation so you don?t get ripped off.

All statements backed. I've been on the seller side of this way too many times. It's especially shitty for stuff going out of the country. Unless you send everything registered or via FedEx and the like you could get robbed by everyone out there pretty easily and have no recourse. I think most people are honest but it's really easy to be taken advantage of as a seller when you don't have some form of tracking.

I've only had to do this once and filed a claim after waiting a month, which seemed reasonable. And that was after three polite unanswered emails. The guy didn't respond after I filed the claim, so I got the money back, it was actually quite painless.

I'm not trying to fuck anyone over, I just want the records I paid for.  Dude initially responded and thanked me for my patience, but now doesn't even respond to my paypal dispute.
