Mr. Medical makes fun, but that clip is about nothing other than divorced people.  And as we all know, obviously, the same will happen to him once Mrs. Medical finds out about his secret girlfriend in Pewaukee.

Yes, there is a place called Pee-Walk-E...

I'm married and still go out *sometimes.* The fact that I go to less shows now has nothing to do with me being married. My husband is always telling me I should go out more. I have a kid too. Kids are more of a drain on your social life than being married, but I don't think I've ever really felt "held back" because I have a kid.

The reason I personally don't go to shows anymore, for the most part, has to do with the fact that I live in the same fairly small town that I've lived in my entire life, and after a while I just get sick of seeing the same bullshit from the same people over and over again. I love going out if there's a band playing that I genuinely like and enjoy listening to. If it's a mediocre band that I don't care about, I'd just as soon stay home. There are plenty of people in Lafayette that use "going to shows" as an excuse to get wasted and act like idiots.

Personally, I would rather get drunk in the comfort of my own home where I have a nice bed and records I actually like to listen to.

I'm also a pretty dedicated student, as un-punk as that is, so if there's a show on a weeknight chances are I won't be able to make it. School has been WAY more of a constraint on my schedule than marriage/parenthood ever has.

I'm only 22, so who knows what I'll be like when I'm 25. Or 30.

Married, two kids, almost as old as dudes like Soriano. I still buy new music and still go to shows. I would go to more shows if I didn't work a shift that keeps me from attending them (and if I didn't live like a 60 mile trip one way where most of them happen) but I bring the occasional band through this small town I'd live in. I still play guitar and make noise and would probably have a band going still if I could find the right minded people again in this small town I live in.

I guess I don't fit assumptions that are the basis of this thread. Carry on.

Don't worry about it, my buddy has five kids with two different women, neither he is married too. He has wanted to kill himself for the past fifteen years, but he still makes awesome music.

I don't go to shows as often as when I was younger because all the "dudes" who are sitting around and doing nothing with their lives starts to piss me off after a while.  I don't mean that they should be out working 9-5 or trying to make 50k a year, but just contributing something to society other than making shitty art/music, black market weed sales, and talking about "the fags" in "the scene".
