Maybe that's what's going on over at Void Records.  Fuck, Mike, I never did bring in that Neutral Spirits record for a replacement.

Most of my friends who are married or have kids never gave a fuck about this sort of thing anyway.

I'm coming back to Chicago next summer to watch two of my best friends get married.  I've known one of 'em since the fifth grade.  We've both been fairly miserable people since a ripe age, so I'm glad to see that he's found someone who understands -- and sometimes enjoys -- his terrible sense of humor and disdain for crowds, for example.

And weddings are fun.

That said, my biggest fear is impregnating a crazy chick who won't terminate the pregnancy.

Seriously: Shivers.  I reverted to celibacy for almost 7 months after a scare with a high school girlfriend.  She enjoyed torturing me.

I'm definitely at the point in my life right now where I'd rather dedicate myself to great job with moderate pay and good benefits than commit to going to shows and getting drunk every night.  It doesn't thrill me anymore.  Not to say you can't do both, but I feel like I need to grow up at some point, and that point is nearing every day.

Logical flaws?

The main one is that b/c a relatively small group of your friends lead--in terms that you leave mostly undefined--pathetic lives b/c they are a certain age and married, then ALL people in that demographic lead pathetic lives. In logical terms, you have offered a position w/ a missing middle.

But worse than logic is the whole TONE of your post which presents your bullshit opinion about how people should lead their lives as some gold standard you've been mysteriously ordained to deliver to those of us bored and/or stupid enough to read your fuckin' hogwash.

Nice to be able to live life from a position where you decide what goals  one should strive for and, better yet, pick the precious few who may strive for those goals.

Really, does it get any dumber than you?

P.S. If the saddest thing you've ever seen is a dusty drum kit, then your whole life-judging rubric is on the verge of collapse.

I know...Steve/Griffith, late on the scene, rolling in like Russia in the Caucuses.  Total disparity of vitriol and intent.  Some might call that dude callous.
