Some old men (and not just Hank IV) are gonna teach the college kids how to party on Friday night!

This brand-new LP on Siltbreeze is an absolutely great album....certainly one of the handful of very best LPs of the year. They spent a whole day on the background vocals for just one song. It's almost of the verge of being overproduced, but instead, it is just awesomely produced. You gotta get this thing.

This is happening in Davis at the house that was known as Spore Shack back a couple summers ago.

It is a party in honor of Mick Mucus' birthday party. I'm sure it's gonna be pretty fun and crazy. Whether you know Mick or not, you are welcome at this party. You should get to know Mick anyway because he is a great guy and definitely one of Davis' true local treasures.

The party starts at 5:00. Spider Friends will play some indie rock/pop of the 90s heyday vintage. Then Mick's band unkuT:Hunkz will play. They are a short blast of rowdy fun rollicky HC, like Poison Idea circa 1987, but a little bit goofy, too. Then Knifethruhead will play their salacious grind. I've actually been wanting to see them. Now I can finally do it without seeing a buncha crappy extreme-metal bands. And Hank IV will probably go on around 9:00. The music will definitely be over by 10. Then the party will continue to rage, and there will probably be way too much puking.

Please bring money to donate for Hank IV's van.

Seriously...You don't hafta be friends with anyone here to be welcome at this party/show. It is a public space.

The Shaq is actually behind 213 C Street in Davis.

Can't they just teach a "How To Party" class at UC Davis?  Surely the entire student body, perhaps the entire population of Davis, would benefit form the course.

What time can you get to Sacto, Andrew?

I've gotta take Woodhouse and have enough room for his mobile recording equipment. John Mayyor's also coming. Between me and Melissa and probably some other people, there's definitely gonna be some Sacto-to-Davis caravan space.

It'll be out soon enough. Stay tuned.

This LP blows all previous Hank IV outta the water. Some folks weren't totally on board with the first LP. I expect that will be different this time.
