Wake and bake.  Now I'm listening to the 20 minutes of ocean sounds at the end of the new ECSR

I listened to In the Court of the Crimson King extremely stoned in a dark room* once and it blew my mind.

*It may have been illuminated by black lights and a fluorescent "Steal Your Face" poster, I can't remember.

Cocaine, when used intraveinously provides by far the most intense alteration of audio ever. Apparantly the same can be found through serious freebasing, but I fished out before that really happened and had a seizure. It's like a really otherwordly reverb or echo chamber. It almost sounds digital. They call it a bellringer. Can't really explain it, but that was my main attraction to coke.

doesnt it cause temporary tinnitus?  or so i have read.  bzzzzzzzzzzz

Ah, so many people mentioned Suicide ... I only have '1/2 Alive', but yeah, I love playing that one when I'm high. But really, only by myself. I get weird about my musical choices when I'm fucked up and there are other people in the mix.

Like the other night, a few of us had a session and I put on a Lalo Schiffrin LP (one with all the Dirty Harry stuff on it ... don't tell me that drumming in Scorpio's Theme doesn't fuck shit up) and it freaked out my pal Steffen because, every time he said something we all stared at him and then in the soundtrack some dramatic climax, followed by a silent pause, accompanied said statement. He didn't like that at all. He's kinda shy.

Oh hey, I saw Wolf Eyes on some serious cookies and man, that shit almost made me go to church. That was pretty fucked up.
