A few years ago a bunch of us were all on acid and I walked into my friends room and two of them were listening to my Big Star tape I'd had with me. It was the first two LPs with a highlights of the 3rd stuck on the end to fill up the tape. They said they'd not heard big star before and said they were thoroughly enjoying it, anyway I went back to the living room to watch TV but told them to turn the tape off before 'Holocaust' came on as it was too depressing to listen to on acid. They said they would. About an hour later, I went back in and they were playing an Andy Williams LP at 45 and looking weirded out. "We listened to Holocaust" they said. The Andy Williams LP played at 45 was the only thing they could think of playing to bring them back.

I listen to pretty much anything stoned. Lately it's been the new Evil Army. Steve, Saturday night was part of your wind training. Don't feel too bad though. I smoked some super killer stuff that Tony Sagger had. Mine paled in comparison. Needless to say I was a complete wreck for a little while. Out of nowhere though, I sprung back into action when Angry Angles started.

Other quality stoning stuff.

The Rebel
Thin Lizzy
Stooges
Hawkwind
Cows
Unsane
Stryper

Doooood...... my cell phone went down with the turds. My presence is only available via unannouced stops and love making interceptions.

Chrome
Hawkwind
Amon Duul 2
Killdozer
Stooges
Debris
13th Floor Elevators
Nurse With Wound
Suicide
Magma
Skip Spence
Syd Barrett/early-Floyd
Group 1850
The White Noise
The Gris Gris
Faust
Red Crayola
Spacemen 3
Pink Reason
Brainbombs
Lee Hazlewood
Rudimentary Peni
Kennelmus
The Deviants
Black Lips
(early)Cabaret Voltaire
F/i

etc... etc... etc...

Bonus points go to Paul for mentioning Arthur Brown.  That whole album is wicked good!  Also good is the coupla singles he did before that.  And the stuff he did with the band Kingdom Come (not the 80's metal band or whatever) is actually damn good. It's 70's space-prog stuff...

The above post rules.

I AM THE GOD OF HELLFIRE
and I bring you...

FIRE!

The first time I heard that song I was totally expecting something WAAAAY different when it kicked in. It's pretty hillarious.

For some reason I thought you didn't do the weed though Keith. Maybe I just got confused because you told me you've never tried psychedelics.

I've smoked hawkwind sparingly over the years.  It's usually when I'm drunk, but I last longer than Lastname.  I've also smoked quite a bit at work, because I work with total stoners.

I've never done acid, shrooms, mescaline, excstasy, peyote or anything like that...

I have kissed fish and licked leeches.

I must also add that I think "Fire" is one of the best songs, perhaps THE best,  to hit the top 10 in the charts.  What'd it make it to? Number 2?

FUCK YEAH ARTHUR BROWN!!!!!

Another I like is Yurayura Teikoku's "Yurayura Teikoku III" album.  Did I (or Luke Hollister or Andy Harris) ever burn you a copy of this, Todd?  I think you'd dig it a lot...
