Please explain the leeches job. I need to know more.
This was in college. Leeches are used in biology labs because their neural connective tissue is similar to humans'. The scientists would yank their "spinal cord" out of them and then zap it with electricity. I had to change their water in the tanks, feed them (with warmed up to human body temp. cow blood put into cow intestines and sewed up on the ends, like a blood sausage) and make lab solutions, etc.
I loved this job because no one would ever talk to me - the leech area was in a cooled room and it was quiet and tranquil. I would take glass pipettes and use them as one-hitters which were perfect for the fuzzy "hero-weed" my roommate who came from Hawaii would bring to us after the holidays each year.
Good times. I also worked in an axolotl lab. Axolotls are mud puppies that live their entire lives as embryos...
