Took me 5 minutes at noon.
I just did straight Democrat except for some local dude who had a Dago name. Voted independent against the dago.
Hate italians. Guess it doesn't help living in Pittsburghs "Little Italy" part of town.

I went to vote at 11am. The parking lot was empty, and when I walked in there was no line no waiting. I signed in, was handed my ballot, realized I didn't know shit about some of the Oakland issues (whoops), and was done (fucking up everyone's lives) in approx 5 minutes.

Our ballots are the 'complete the arrow' forms. So weird.

That's what we have in Green Bay. Had the scantron form this time for the Ohio absentee ballot. Found both really easy to use.

No idea if its a fake or not, looks like it's on CNN, but if you can't find it then cest la vie. The GF works at one of the law firms that handled much litigation during the 2000 election and there was a pretty massive pileup of suits...still gonna take the over on this one.

Summary judgment, lawsuit tossed.

Even with most conservative judges fact free, fictional narratives don't do well in court.

The Repubs have been unable to provide ONE link between ACORN and so-called voter fraud.

Are you sure that Gawker thing isn't a hoax? Looks real, but that site's notorious and I couldn't find anything at CNN.

Standardize the WHOLE FUCKING PROCESS, beginning to end ... I mean, have some national standards for presenting ID at the polls, get more voting machines where necessary, make the process for registration and/or early/absentee voting THE SAME in every state.  Jesus, it's not that hard.  It's like Zimbabwe here or something.  So embarrassing.

There is some issue with having ID to vote. I don't really understand it, but apparently some people cannot afford IDs? I dunno? For this reason though I know you don't usually need an ID to vote.

Anyone who knows more about this than I wanna comment?

I don't get that entire ID thing. Why wouldn't you have some sort of Govt issued ID? You need an ID to do just about everything. (Cash a check, get a job, etc. etc.) If money is such a big issue, make 'em free.

I'm not disagreeing w/ you re. the number that will be filed, but most if not all will get tossed before even going to trial. Take the over on number filed AND on summary judgments.

We have those in Milwaukee, too.  I like them.  They're easy to understand and there's little room for fuckups.

I'm pretty sure the gawker thing is a joke as in "look, he came back several times, voter fraud!!!!" when really it's "he came back to the area several times to see if the lines had died down before voting"

Well I'd certainly HOPE they'd be tossed or at the very least everything would be above board enough and/or it'd be enough of a landslide to avoid the debacles of the previous 2 elections.

Yeah, I was saying, the number filed.

I guess Tim Robbins had some problems (among 40 others at the same polling place)

Quote
At one point, a poll worker who tried to get the insistent Mr. Robbins to move mentioned calling over a police officer, and the actor responded, ?Is this some kind of intimidation? I?m taking this as intimidation.? He added that he was prepared to be arrested, if necessary.

Right-wingers are SO EXCITED about that Black Panther dude in front of the polling place in Philly.  They could not be more thrilled.

I voted a couple weekends ago...in Alameda County's lovely Registrar of Voters office, right near Lake Merritt. Didn't reduce my stress much, though.
