Is that an original Vancouver Death Sentence shirt? Damn, i'd love to have one of those. My friend scored one a few years back but i can't remember what he did with it as opposed to giving it to me...

Is "dropping off a rug" anything like "laying carpet"?

My company just acquired a major jazz publishing concern and we will be inheriting everything in their office including a collection of LP's that date back to the 50's. I'm probably doing the packing up of the office when it closes. Totally psyched!

i drove a little out of the way on my lunchbreak to some thrifts around AMOEBA. there was a long wait for parking at the first one, and pressed for time, i skipped it figuring i'd have more time for AMOEBA (i haven't been in about a month). parking at the second thrift was equally full, but i decided to wait a couple minutes and got a space. inside i went straight for the LPs, and my hopes were all but shattered as i recognized pretty much every record in the first 5 or 6 bins from my last visit. total waste of time, i literally thought to myself "time to leave, my 20 minutes would be better spent at AMOEBA." somehow i managed to press on through 6 more stacks of OAK RIDGE BOYS and Showtunes. of course, near the front of the last possible stack this was staring back at me. Yes that is shrink, and yes it remains sealed...

while i'm at it, i found this last week at another thrift a couple days after i found that SUBTLE HINTS comp. i imagine my luck will be running out shortly...

what do LPs cost at your thrift store? 1 DOLLAR (no tax).

i also got a couple popcorn/soul 45s... BERTHA TILLMAN "oh my angel" and HANK LEVINE "image". those were 25 cents.

sure beat Amoeba, tho i did get a 45 from Seattle '77 pre-punks UNCLE COOKIE and the ANNE WALDMAN "uh oh plutonium" 45.

Had a pretty good night in Chicago last week.  Spent like $200 total but it was worth it,  here's what the more noteworthy picks were:

Armand Schaubroeck - Ratfucker
Dead C - Vs. Sebadoh
Bruce Lose - 7"
Problematics - Bad Habit 7"
Uniform Choice - Staring Into The Sun LP (gatefold)
Surrogate Brains 7" for a dollar

Got some newer stuff too, like the first 2 Dinosaur Jr LPs, Sisters LP, a Harms Way 7" with a sweet photo on the back of all the band members shirtless.

On the old eGay recently I've picked up:

Miles Davis - Bitches Brew
Dead C - Relax Fallujah 7"
Armand Schaubroeck - Dead triple LP

Going back to Chicago tonight, gonna get more shit, I'm sure.
