Petty, piece-of-shit complaint here: but is anyone else annoyed by the stats being reset to "0" for have/wants of most releases? Seems to have started a while back, but is now more or less everywhere. There appears to be a few threads about it on their boards about it, but it doesn't sound like it's getting fixed. It's mostly a fun/handy tool to have around (ie to contact people who have records you want) and to give an idea of sales, but I imagine even more useful for sellers.

Yeah, reading the forums about it, it's apparently not an easy fix.
It's funny, when I've removed things from my wantlist or collection, it'll go to -1.

Just saw this on Discogs for the first time on a bootleg:

"This release has been blocked from sale in the marketplace. It is not permitted to sell this item on Discogs."

I think they've been cracking down on this. I got emails from them saying they took some items down that I had thrown up there from "imports" that I got from my major label distro (live radio Bowie and Petty/Dylan)..

But I wonder if they'll start cracking down on more  "accepted" boots (ex: KBD, Bloodstains, etc)

Me too although I also can't now recall what it was. Will post here as I stumble across any more.

Perhaps Discogs has been leaned on by some band/label's legals (another John Are type scenario?) and have just decided to start the clampdown to avoid future grief.

I have seen that on the page for The Mummies Uncontrolable Urge 7".

Didn't some people also have issues with the Solid Space repress/boot that came out a few months ago too?

I kinda remember there being talks about that on here (I could be wrong though - my memory is shit).

FUCK.

This scourging of boots from discogs is in full effect. All the Patti boots on my want list have been removed and are "blocked" from the marketplace. I was literally on the site specifically to buy them up with my paycheck today in case they were removed.

the sky is falling.

One way to speed up this process for them would be to just make any release tagged as 'unofficial' ineligible for posting in the marketplace. My guess is they won't do this but will act on a case by case basis to avoid annoying too many Discogs users. Perhaps the key is - if you've got boots on your wantslist buy them real soon!
