Jason Sudeikis is not funny. Ever. Lots of filler, Kenny on a boogie board, Kenny jet-skiing, Kenny four-wheeling, Kenny at the amusement park w his baby mama. A couple of funny scenes, the ending managed to be overly contrived and overly predictable.

I agree that it was weak, but it seems like they were just setting the stage for good things to come.  I agree on Jason Sudeikis as well, but he's just the kind of douche Kenny would hang out with.

A very lazy way to set the stage. In first two seasons exposition came in the form of people talking to each other, doing meaningful things and more often than not it was at the very least mildly funny. Seems they are now going the music vid route or, as I like to call it, dead air.

It was fine, like I said earlier you can't really judge this show by single episodes. Rewatch this when the season is over and it will probably be really funny. I have spent quite a few summers in Myrtle Beach as a kid since my aunt had a condo there and everything from the mini golf family to Kenny's condo lighthouse and starfish figurines made me LOL. But I thought I was watching a Ben Stiller movie during that Shane/Kenny scene in the clubhouse.

Your post makes no sense. I am not judging the show; I am commenting on the episode I saw. Sometimes the whole is greater than its parts, sometimes not. A narrative is a chain and sometimes it has weak links.

I'm glad Baby Vin and the folks had fun at MB. I was probably teaching Intro to Lit around the same time.

Better than what I expected after reading comments on here. Some of it was pretty funny. Sudeikis is alright in somethings. Not sure how he'll turn out in here.

I liked it. Was disappointed in the first couple episodes last season, too, but ended up digging it a lot. Probably just expectations. And having to set the stage.

That was easily the weakest episode in the entire series so far.  I hope it picks up after this.

Are you kidding?  There were more laughs in the cockfighting scenes and Deep Roy snorting keys of coke than there was in this whole episode.

Wow, I had the opposite reaction to this episode.  I thought it was hilarious from beginning to end, and I like the new character Shane.  Favorite part was when Kenny's sister in law was trying to get him to take the baby.  I saw this and was psyched for the season.

This show has been awesome the whole time, no sense in over analyzing it and trying to figure out which season is best or if the new one sucks now.
