Bazooka Joe has had the best response of any of the older gentlemen posting on this thread.

The "gateway to reggae" thing would make sense except that Sublime is better than any actual reggae.

This thread is making my brain hurt.  Seriously think it's time to take a page from Young Steve's book and basically depart Termbo, save for the occasional post shilling upcoming White Wires and Fratricide records.  That is, if anyone here even likes punk rock by the end of the summer.

Ha! This is the first day I've spent any amount of time on Termbo in a good while - likely because I'm too tired to do anything productive at the moment - and seeing this thread made me realize why I can't post here anymore. It's like Invasion of the Body Snatchers or something, all of the intelligent, witty posters are gone and all that's left are the mouth breathers and a bunch of "kidz" who write in text message-ese. I thought Termbo reached its nadir with WNKRS' "Man Thread" but I guess I was wrong. Congrats on a new low.

That's just your self-serious disposition and your staggering obliviousness to irony talking, Steve.  You don't even get Sprague Dawley, for chrissakes.

DiMaggio seriously hates reggae but loves Sublime?  Must be a generational thing.

Reggae: Sooner or later everyone gets it, unless they gots shit in they ears.

wnkrs's posts are often hilarious, esp. the Radiohead-thread-era shitt.

...and a pretty good litmus test, too.
