10/31 - Cle - WCSB Masquerade Ball feat ZERO BOYS & more

This Halloween, WCSB is throwing a bash featuring bands, WCSB personalities DJing, Costume contests & much more.

This event is free and open to all.  The sets will also be broadcast live on WCSB (89.3 FM in Cleveland - webstream also available).  bands announced so far are the ZERO BOYS and MY DAD IS DEAD.

Local bands will be announced shortly, as well as the location.  costumes are encouraged!

I think I'm gonna be in town for this.....jazzed to see My Dad is Dead(never saw 'em) and Zero Boys(killed it live in Austin,although you could tell the drummer was slowing down towards the end.).....

yeah i'm pretty stoked for MDID too...never saw them, and they grow on ya as you get older (and your life goes downhill).  zero boys killed when i saw them in chicago...the local band lineup is solid too...but can't announce til everything is confirmed!

By the way, I wish WCSB had done a show this cool when I was there. There's no reason the station shouldn't have a Studio-a-rama-type show several times a year, except better (RUW exempt this year cuz they got Burma).

I grew up listening to WCSB....Steve Wainstead,Scary Ellen...does 'csb have an archive site where you can dig up some of the old shows..............I remember hearing the Electric Eels for the first time on Wainstead's show appropriately titled cyclotron. Gonna be in town on Oct 29-Nov 5 any other cool shit going on? listening to X_X right now.

No archive of that stuff unfortunately (at least not that you can access online).  i heard a ton of bands for the first time on the "blows against the empire" show (including flag, circle jerks, etc)

The 29th there is a show @ NTC - Brainwashed Youth, Burgee Boys (Sockeye member doing devo-influenced stuff?) and the debut of the new band with steve/allessandro/mr.california and larry (still dont think there's an official name for this band)

heading to detroit on the 30th to see roky erickson.  not sure of anything else right now
