I am heading to Northampton, MA for a wedding this weekend. Anyone know if good record stores that are worth a stop?

I played at the Iron Horse when LFD was on tour with King Khan & The Shrines. Nothing worth a damn there but a bunch of lesbians...I did almost get beat up at the motel in Chicopee, Mass though by an angry guy in the room next door who didn't appreciate having a bunch me stand on the balcony in my underwear in a thunderstorm screaming while also smoking a joint while his kids were trying to sleep. So I guess to sum everything up: yes, the place is worth a damn.

"For Pequannock, the third inning was equal parts Murphy's Law and Dick Clark. Everything that could go wrong did, as the hits just kept on coming for Bordentown."

"heres a suggestion: SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!"

They had to invoke the mercy rule.

"Bordentown sent 16 batters to the plate in an 11-run third that propelled the Section 3 champions to a 14-3 victory over Pequannock to clinch the New Jersey Little League title. The game was stopped after four innings because of the 10-run mercy rule."

Bryon & Thurston's Yod shop is there. I havent been there but it is probably worth a drop by. There are good bookstores in town too.

Anyone been by Mystery Train Records in Amherst recently. Making another stop up there this weekend and want to know if it's worth a trip.

the iron horse is a nice little place. i drove the two hours there to see kk+bbq in october. barely anyone stood up during their technical difficulty ridden set. i felt bad. i felt empowered when i went up to mark sultan the next night in boston, "hey mark member me from last night? great show". that was an experience worth youtubing, but i will pass.

Ecstatic Yod--one of the best if you catch them open.  yod.com
Metropolitan Books and Records was a really cool little store.

Out of the way a little, but the Montague Book Mill is pretty cool (http://www.montaguebookmill.com/) and there's a record store in the complex.  Cool spot but perhaps not many scores to be had.

Thanks, the last time I was up there was when I made this thread initially. Yod was closed but I really want to check that out. I hit Mystery Train and got some solid stuff but it's a little out of my way. I'm hoping for similar luck if I stop by again.
