This would be great but I think it would be rather retarded and defeat the whole concept of the band to spend multiple thousands of dollars to see supercharger.

If I were in 8 hours of driving I'd be there though.

I'm pissed off I can't afford to go to this on account of an housemate leaving without paying bills/rent so the rest of us have to pay his share. It's only a 12 hour ferry ride away as well! - with all night shit disco!!! Bah!

OMG an inept three piece garage rock band! I'll spend at least $600000000 to go see this shit RIGHT NOW!

Just kidding, I love Supercharger. But when you look at it objectively...getting excited seems silly.

Supercharger were fucking awesome! The set was just under an hour and they played pretty much all the songs you wanted to hear and did them perfect. They looked to be having a great time, so maybe they'll do it again Stateside some time.

Supercharger were nothin less than amazing. People who saw em first time around in the old world said that they were nothin then compared to now.

A big surprise were Kids who played there old songs perfect n seemed to have the time of their lifes on stage. As encore they played If the kids were united n Blitzkrieg Bop wich sucked but I guess the oldies thauhgt that it was what the audience wanted.

Paul Collins were partly good but he played to many new songs that no one cared about. Its really hard to judge the quality of the songs just by hearing them live once but I think its kinda stoopid to play them as The Beat. He had a rather kicking back up band, espacially the guitarist nailed the classic p-pop moves perfect.

Other highlights were Marked Men, Campus Tramps and for me the big surprise Stilettos who are generic bore delight on record but put on a great liveshow.

In 1993, Supercharger were great at the Pit's in Bloody Belgium but totally paled in comparison to The Mummies who put on the ultimate budget rock 'n roll show and went totally berserk on stage - The Mummies did another European tour a couple of months later but they were very very mediocre and boring at that time. Still, the Supercharger/Mummies double bill is engraved in my memory as legendary.

You're right about The Kids, they killed on the first night, way better than I thought they'd ever be. Although the encore covers of Sham/Ramones/Wire were unecessary (but done well) I guess they had nothing left of their own to play, the main set was perfect.

That Mummies/Supercharger euro tour never came to London, but I saw the Mummies when they came back on their own and that was one of the best gigs I've ever seen.

Yeah, Marko's right, Supercharger brought down the house, Darin teased Greg to tell jokes, and of couse Greg called us all hippies and shit. Here's a Rumble youtube clip:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNBw86UoO30 (with Chris fra Kidnappers on bass)

The Kids and Paul Collins' Beat were amazing, so were Marked Men, Stilettos, Campus Tramps, Kidnappers and Hidden Charms (great fuckin' band). But Supercharger stole the weekend.

Nice talkin to ya, Marko, by the way. Gothenborg, right?

You can see Brian in the shadows on the stage in the background with his fingers in his ears.   I heard Paul Collins only played three new songs.  The rest were largely from the first and second LPs.  Sounds like fun stuff.
