Saw Jay a few times last year, and while the records weren't doing much for me lately, it was still an exhilarating live blast, pure punk rock done perfect by someone who obviously had it in his blood. Yeah, 29 is just way too young.
And Soriano's right-- he was an abrasive guy, undeniably, but he was also thrust into a persona so early that I don't want to judge that side of him. Sounds like he went peacefully, and that's one small thing to be thankful for, I guess.
