I don't know, I rarely go there. I just throw down cash and let God take care of the rest.

If God was black, you really he'd let that shit happen to Haiti?

Dumont Burger was OK.  Enid's is close to my apartment and work and is, as you pointed out, marginally cheaper.  Maybe I'm just surprised that it's as good as it is.

If yer in NY, you should really get some shit that it's actually hard to find decent in other parts of the country like sushi or falafel.

It's not hard to find decent sushi or falafel in other parts of the country.  But I see your point.  I went out to Flushing to check out some Indian restaurant last week.  It was pretty good.  Probably not worth the two-hour round-trip commute, but I enjoyed it.

I guess I'm speaking of my own experiences. Never had any decent sushi or falafel anywhere in WI, Lafayette or Columbus. I never have money for sushi on tour, but they definitely got great falafel in SF.

I agree to that Dumont burger is not up to snuff with just about any you'll find in WI, but it's still a pretty fuckin' tasty burger, even if it is ridiculously overpriced.

Gonna be there Friday, doubt I'll hit the Saturday show.  Short visit.  But I'll try and hit up some of these spots.  Falafel sounds great already.  Sushi aint bad in Chicago.  Not missing out.

Kevin is right about Roberta's killing Carmine's but it's not really a fair argument. Carmine's is the kind of place you get a pie, sit around the apartment and watch the game. Roberta's is a night out, and a good 2-3 times as expensive. Keep in mind that the fried chicken at Roberta's is equal/nearly equal/greater than the pizza.

I'm a bit surprised about the NYC falafel love. They always struck me as a bit so-so with the exception of Naomi's.

If you're sticking to Wburg, I'd add Fette Sau and perhaps Caracas to the list of recommended places.

I've had better falafel in SF for sure, but fuck, the only falafel I've ever seen in WI is the shit I used to fry up myself when I was a vegetarian.

Back home.  Felt more like a layover than an actual visit.  Spent the night up in the Bronx at 235th & Katonah on Friday.  Saturday in Bushwick with Yva this musician I'm releasing on my new label... she got mugged a couple nights before I arrived and they gave her a black eye and broke her glasses but didn't manage to get her money.  She is okay she said.  Went to Academy later that day, cool shop, met J. Blundell at the counter, had sushi on Bedford and pizza 30 minutes later.  Saw Thurston Moore randomly, turned around, walked back to the car and got the hell out of there.  Sorry we didn't meet up Justin and Eric.  Another time.

I didn't see you there.  Around 2:30 or 3pm.  I was carrying an old checkered LP cardboard box around and looked confused.
