The South (east coast)

im going on tour between ny and florida this month and we're hitting most of the major cities along the east coast.  can anybody recommend some good stuff to check out in places like richmond, raleigh/durham, charleston, savannah, jacksonville, etc?  awesome foods, record/book stores, museums, odd historical shit, etc.  i have never been to most of these places and am pretty psyched.  oh also, BBQ
