any list of the top 50 albums of the 00s that does not feature no doubt is not worth taking seriously.  bon iver just makes it embarrassing

that said - the strokes first is easily a top ten pick.  it is not too dissimilar to the stone roses s/t, a semi-cult object fabricated of hit singles.
