sometimes youre out of luck even if you OWN a record store.

i just sold an '09 rsd 7"...i think there might be one or two other turds from last year sitting around, but we didnt have access (we had been open only a few months) anyway.

i got my jesus lizard singles in pittsburgh.

What do you do if you don't 'live near a cool record store?' You drive to one. I'll be doing it.

I had a cool record store in my town, which has since closed. Of course, we still had to call our friend in the nearest city and ask him to go and buy us copies of the Jesus Lizard 'Inch' set. But it was worth it. All of those JL 7"s, together in one place...

Did I see a Fall 7" listed as one of the Record Store Day offerings?!?

Damn that would be cool. I was one of the 1,471 members of that band, true story.

Sub Pop/grunge attack this year.  Hole, Soundgarden, Pavement...I'm buying three of each.

But in all seriousness, where are the cash cows this year?

It looks like Electric Eels is UK-only.

This could be interesting:

Tutu & the Pirates "Sub-Urvan Insult Rock For the Anti-Lectual" (demos from Chicago punk band 1978-79)

They had a track on that recent Chicago old punk scene LP/DVD, yes?

The Flaming Lips Lp is a 5000 pressing (vs 500) according to the RSD site. It's also on the Flaming Lips website for pre-order ($25) here: http://www.flaminglips.com/store/product/dark-side-moon-140g-vinyl-bonus-cd

Fucked Up / Matador are officially releasing the Daytrotter Sessions on 7" w/ ten different sleeve variations. (good luck if you're into them). Supposedly 1700 pressing.

Sub Pop is also doing a Happy Birthday (King Tuff) 7"
