Yeah, I grew up in Solana Beach, but haven't lived there for five years or so. I still go to that antique store all the time when I am home though. I think it's just called the antique warehouse, right in the heart of the design district(!). Make sure you look around, cause sometimes people sell records in the other consignment booths. Pretty OK deal I think. One time I saw Bill Murray at that snotty brunch joint just down the street, cafe zinc. It's full of the most laughable rich people ever, but the food is pretty good.
The store is cool, but I wouldn't say it's worth a specific trip. Lou's is so depressing now, god. I mean, it's not like it was the coolest store ever, but I have a bunch of weird/awesome records I bought there when I was 16. I got all of those Sun City Girls reissues off eclipse there a long long time ago, and that's pretty legit. What's up with that place having the worst selection of used records EVER? I tried to ask them about it, but they feigned ignorance and got kinda pissed.
