hey blahblahblegh, if you are ever in northern San Diego, Solana Beach to be exact, there is a pretty cool antique store and some guy with a HUGE record collection sells consignment in there. In his words "yeah, I tried ebay, it's just not for me". Guy knows his records, so there aren't any totally insane deals. Sometimes is a great value, some stuff is over priced. Got a couple felt records there, some misc. soul records, and REIGN IN BLOOD. All super minty and $5 - $10.

Yeah, I grew up in Solana Beach, but haven't lived there for five years or so. I still go to that antique store all the time when I am home though. I think it's just called the antique warehouse, right in the heart of the design district(!). Make sure you look around, cause sometimes people sell records in the other consignment booths. Pretty OK deal I think. One time I saw Bill Murray at that snotty brunch joint just down the street, cafe zinc. It's full of the most laughable rich people ever, but the food is pretty good.

The store is cool, but I wouldn't say it's worth a specific trip. Lou's is so depressing now, god. I mean, it's not like it was the coolest store ever, but I have a bunch of weird/awesome records I bought there when I was 16. I got all of those Sun City Girls reissues off eclipse there a long long time ago, and that's pretty legit. What's up with that place having the worst selection of used records EVER? I tried to ask them about it, but they feigned ignorance and got kinda pissed.

best pizza = luigis, cool people, good beers, good music, cheap pizza

You wouldn't have been an ex employee and a rollerblader to (fruit)boot?
