i can see how the kid got alotta undeserved hype and notice, but what's so bad about this record? i'm not saying my opinion is better than yours i just want to see if i can look at it from your point of view.

I haven't obviously heard the whole record, but the songs I have heard sound like the stuff you hear on MTV daily, the first single was released by Mountain fucking Dew as mp3 and that one pic (that was on that Mountain Dew site) made me want to punch him in the face.

As a whole, the suddent hype didn't bother me nearly as much as the "BOOHOOO I AM A GOOD BOY THAT WAS FUCKED UP BY DRUGS" thing that followed the breakdown... so it's pretty much 40/60 between dislike for the music and disliking the way the wavvesguy acts

haven't watched/heard MTV since i was 9, but i'm pretty sure they don't play anything remotely resembling wavves style

and how can wavves music be judged based on the look/persona of the band or its 'sponsorship' by mtn dew. idk those thingz really affect the music itself, but i might be wrong
