Hey, what about Mouse Parade? Tortoise as totem animal.

Mice Parade, who I think have a new record out.  That, or I'm having really dull record distro update hallucinations.

Ha, no yr right. But that was a side project of another boring post-rock band that I can't think of the name of.

I remember slightly enjoying this when it came out. Reassessment leaves me with some digital distortion aftertaste. Like some of those Wavves noi$e cuts. Would rather be listening to Explosions In The Sky with The WNKRS Duo...huffin' rags of brake fluid and killin' some deep dish.

Does anyone else have any examples of the Japanese catching the "post rock" buzz, beside what's been mentioned?

I like how you have seen a many awful bands live, but have been on tons of drugs for all of them.

Haha.

When I was in 10th grade a high school friend took me to see Umphrey's McGee, and even the heaviest of nugs could not have made that shit bearable.

Adam Pierce was in the Swirlies before he did Mice Parade.  He also did the vocals for the phone tree at Caroline Distribution in the mid-1990s.

Is there an awful bands I've seen confessional thread, besides the one's I start in earnest? If your man would've been with my crew for the Stone Temple Pilots/Cheap Trick show I went to in High School....mad toxic. Went on to see Cheap trick another 3 times in my life. One of my top ten bands, for sure. Robin was still hitting those notes!

So, this little tidbit amused me playing WIKIPEDIA ROULETTE...Apparently the Rachel's song "Water From The Same Source" was used in Will Smith's movie HANCOCK. Are there any other examples from this genre (post rock, math, etc.) used in mainstream films?
