I think you mean Moss Icon.

I already made fun of A Minor Forest earlier in the thread.

Let's do it...Hated, Moss Icon, Rites of Spring, (fuck Embrace), Honor Role....I ain't skeered...

Saw so many emo bands at the loft.  Not by choice but because I ran the place. My "favorite" was sinker. The drummer sobbed tearfully through the whole set to the point where he had a box of tissue next to him on stage. At the end of the performance all of them would be in tears with the singer shaking in fetal possition on the stage, even while the rest of the band broke down the equipment.  I figure at this rate we might see the same during the next pissed jeans tour.

haha

You'd never catch me dead with one of those things.

But "white belt core" is actually GSL and 31G jams, with The Locust and maybe Blood Brothers being kingdaddys.
It's cool, man. It's not like you read BCO and really understand the intricacies of post-post-hardcore. It's a confusing world full of spoiled brats, entitled attitudes, white guilt, and ironic appreciation of metal. But with the occasional awesome band. Take my hand and I will guide you thru this stack of HeartattaCk back issues. (bring yr own magnifying glass)

Finally, look for the new single by my band WHITE BELT/WHITE GUILT.

You mean, like, The Vue?

I did meth with one of those guys once. He was in like Portraits of Past or something? All he would talk about was hanging out w/ Dave Grohl at the Grammys. I would have kicked him out of my room, but it was too funny.

To bring this back to the original topic: The bass-player from FLY PAN AM is currently playing bass for RED MASS right now.

random thoughts after paging through this...

i like mogwai's "rock action" record a bunch. not their other stuff though.

i remember liking a storm and stress record a bit, whoever that was, but sold it so have no way of listening.

sea and cake are the most boring band i've ever heard.

labradford are good.

i like june off 44 ok, at least tropics and meridians. free stamps.

i like slint better than rodan, never really listen to either anymore.

theres some don caballero song i like, something like "jazz crisis" something or whatever. back when i was buying a buncha cds i accidentally bought the steve caballero "bandology" instead of a don caballero record. I'd probably still listen to don caballero before i do the faction.

i have 3 explosions in the sky records that are sealed. ive still never heard this band, but i hope they're worth money someday.

i like o'rourkes solo records better than gastr del sol, but its still kinda barely listenable for me.

god, low suck.

Storm & Stress! Good call. I guess Don Cab started math and ended post.

Never listened to Low's records much but did see them play a pretty amazing show a long time ago. 200 hundred people, 100 degrees, and you could hear a pin drop.

Saw Low once & they were OK - first time I saw people sitting on the floor for a show.  Sadly for them, they were touring with the Dirty Three, for whom you could not sit down, and they just mopped the floor with Low's limp carcasses.
