I like the LP & the first 7" but... douches

at least they seem to acknowledge this

"Some of them worked at it. They got a (expletive) job and then it happened for them. But we went from being total kids straight into this."

AKA the WAWWWES effect or something, HA!

At first I was thinking that I finally agreed with Clint on a topic, but then he made this statement. It is entirely impossible for their new record to be good, and have you seen a picture of them ever? You can tell by looking at them how good they are.

I've never heard this band, but I liked that Teenage Lovers single. Wasn't that by one of these dudes?

^^^ Yeah, max the lead guitarist.  If you like that you should try their LP

The dubz are cool people.  its wierd to me that they want to be such a huge band, but they might actually be able to do it, so more power to them.  I kind of wish they still were playing more local shows and parties instead of focusing on playing with big, gay indie rock bands, but that's just cause it was more fun back then.  i wish they would do both.

Standing side by side, they also resemble a hipster forest, long and willowy, and tucked into skinny jeans and satin jackets, with an orchestrated dishevelment.

At first I was thinking that I finally agreed with Clint on a topic, but then he made this statement.

Blah blah blah, Dave's just pissy because Cat Power yelled at him.  You should know how she likes her heroin by now

No I'm pissy because they suck and folks who know better are giving them a pass.  Anyone read that Pitchfork interview where they dis Hozac (in their slight defense it could have been due to the leading questions) and proclaimed that they've been really listening to a lot of the London Suede and their new record will have disco beats?

BTW.  Cat Power is nicer than nice and what the fuck would you know about any of that?
